Electro music fans will dig iBaptiste, a free Daft Punk soundboard for your mobile phone.
iBaptiste presents all of the vocals of the Daft Punk hit Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger on a bright green and black grid that looks like it's come straight out of the Eighties. You simply need to touch on a word or phrase from those in the grid and it'll play through your phone's speakers.
iBaptiste is perfect for touchscreen use but each vocal sample also has a keyboard shortcut for phones with keyboards. You are given the option to choose whether you have a Qwerty or Azerty keyboard. iBaptiste also lets you choose between two different vocal pitch settings.
The sound quality of the samples is very good and you can tell in an instant that it's Daft Punk. In general though, I felt iBaptiste was very limited. It's got far fewer features than the iDaft iPhone app, which includes two songs and plays rhythms rather than just the vocals.
Nevertheless, if you're a big Daft Punk fan then iBaptiste makes for some phonic phone fun.
